I’m a Turkish teacher who believes learning a language should feel warm, real and human. I love creating friendly lessons where students feel comfortable speaking, making mistakes and growing at their own pace.
Who I am
I teach Turkish online and create warm, clear, and visual learning materials for people who want a friendly and realistic way to practice the language. I write books, design structured lessons, and produce videos that help learners speak comfortably, understand naturally, and improve at their own pace.
My background in comparative literature and history shaped how I see language and communication. I love stories, culture, symbols, and the small details that make a sentence feel alive. Over time I developed a simple habit: take something complicated, understand it deeply, then explain it in a way that feels human, gentle, and easy to follow. That approach guides everything I create.
I am a certified Turkish teacher for foreigners through Istanbul University Cerrahpaşa and hold a TESOL certification from the University of Arizona. These programs strengthened the academic foundation behind my teaching and support the structured, learner-centered approach I use today.
For more than a decade, I have taught in real classrooms, language schools, and international programs. I worked with children and adults, taught English to Turkish students, taught English to young learners in China, and taught Turkish to students from all over the world. Through TurkishClass101.com, EF Languages, my own books, and my YouTube videos, I have helped thousands of learners build confidence step by step. Working with so many different learners showed me how universal the need for kindness, clarity, and structure truly is.
I also work in the AI field as a trainer and evaluator, helping improve language models and educational tools. For me, teaching, writing, and AI work are connected. They all come from the same desire to understand how people learn and to create resources that actually help them.
Outside of teaching, I read constantly. I love learning for the sake of learning and dive into anything that sparks curiosity. Health, science, psychology, history, philosophy, storytelling, plants, crafts, nature, and the way things work in general. Learning new things makes me feel alive and I bring that same sense of curiosity to my lessons.
My goal is simple:
to make learning Turkish warm, enjoyable, meaningful, and a natural part of everyday life.
